Sara Fisher was raised at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains in Sheridan, Wyoming. Some of her best memories of growing up in Wyoming are camping, hiking, and fishing in the mountains with her parents and sister every weekend during the summers.

After graduating high school, Sara moved to Spearfish, South Dakota in the middle of the Black Hills and just a short distance from Mount Rushmore. In Spearfish, Sara attended Black Hills State University, majoring in elementary education and minoring in Spanish. As part of her formal training in Spanish, she did a study abroad program in Granada, Spain for a summer. She also toured the European countryside, ranging from Spain to the Benelex Countries on the railways.

Sara moved to Raleigh with her sister in the Fall of 2004, and was initially employed as a domestic courtroom clerk in the Wake County Courthouse. She met Ms. Mueller soon after, and joined the Mueller Law Firm in November, 2005 as a Legal Assistant.
